House celebrates the local artists by creating a space exclusively for displaying their talents and ingratiating their works with the residence. The challenges were further intensified by the client’s interesting demand for the residence to curate and celebrate art at every turn. When the architects took on the project, the casting stage of the columns and slabs had already been executed. So, they were supposed to take a raw framework and weave about it a house that breathed in art and nature alike. Besides this, the exterior was provided with a clean, strong language, devoid of cladding of any kind. In the interiors, the focus was on acquiring art pieces and then creating spaces that could revere them. All the paintings, sculptures and murals were chosen, very consciously to fit a narrative. The spaces, including the living spaces, the reading space, and the bedrooms were provided with an expansive view of the serene, lilting landscape around from the large triply glazed windows that used non-reflective, glare-free glass.
